Description of MTP Kit
MTP Kit is a combination pack used for the medical termination of early pregnancy (up to 9 weeks), and must be taken under medical supervision only. It contains two active ingredients: Mifepristone, an anti-progestogen that blocks the hormone needed to maintain pregnancy, and Misoprostol, which increases uterine contractions to expel pregnancy tissue. MTP Kit is not a regular contraceptive and should not be used without a doctor’s prescription. Common side effects may include nausea, vomiting, cramping, and vaginal bleeding. Seek immediate medical attention if bleeding is excessive or persists longer than expected.
